Goals
- To assist families to protect, nurture and care for children in an environment without abuse and neglect
- To improve children’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual development
- To improve family relationships and to develop their social, family and community networks
- To advocate on behalf of children and families in the service system
- To collaborate with staff from welfare, health, educational and children’s services to enhance their ability to respond to ‘at risk’, abused and neglected children and their families.
- Contribute to knowledge in child protection practice through presentations, articles and the development of child protection resources and;
- Contribute to service system and policy development through various networks.
